June: In Season

We love June, the longer days give us more opportunities to enjoy dining with views of  the stunning quay, where the sun reflects off the rippling tide. It’s also the beginning of the Norfolk strawberry season, and to celebrate we have created a delicious Norfolk Bella Berry cocktail, which is made up of  local strawberries, fresh rosemary and a generous helping of gin. Got a sweet tooth? How about Strawberry panna cotta with vanilla shortbread, or maybe a strawberry macaron and Pimms jelly?

Talking of Pimms, Wimbledon’s qualifying starts this month, so come and take advantage of the wonderful indulgence we all love, Afternoon Tea. Dig into delicious homemade savouries, pastries and a generous pot of tea – or maybe a little glass of bubbles too.

The Royal Norfolk Show (28th & 29th June), the largest two day agricultural show in England, is one of the highlights of the local calendar year and it’s always a fantastic opportunity to spend the day supporting local businesses and celebrating our wonderful county. Of course, as you head out of Norwich and follow the coast road back, remember to reserve a table for dinner. Keep an eye out at the show for Rachael, our front of house manager, who will be shaking up some wonderful cocktails using our favourite Norfolk vodka ‘wild Knight’, which is made from the best Norfolk Barley. I am sure she would love a lift home, too!

Plus, this year we’ll be entering a number of awards, including the best seafood restaurant and best newcomer to Norfolk, so keep your eyes peeled for all updates and news! Your support has been greatly appreciated so far this year.
