Saying farewell to Summer brings a new season for both fashion and food;
Appetite enhancing crisp walks on the beach in Wells next the Sea wrapped in our favourite scarf and gorgeous bobble hat.
Looking over the quay enjoying a delicious bowl of steaming mussels and thick bread for dunking whilst admiring the fisherman in all weathers bringing in this great local seafood for us to enjoy.
Wonderful walks through Holkham estate kicking up the crunchy golden leaves in our wellies and rewarding ourselves on the way home with an indulgent hot chocolate with homemade cake made here by our chefs.
With the excitement of the new season and the harvest it brings our chefs launch a new menu introducing some wonderful Autumn and Winter ingredients, check out our menu page.
This months menu enjoys Brancaster oysters, local mussels bought in by the Frarys, wonderful wild Seabass caught by Rob, Lyndsey and ‘Blucher’ their boat and of course lobster fished by Billy Ward and his boat the ‘Predator’
We were so lucky to have been granted a special licence which mean we can buy direct from the fisherman guaranteeing not only great fresh fish but ensuring our Wells next the Sea fisherman our fully supported by ourselves.
To show further support, on this menu, every time you enjoy the Wild Seabass, sweet potato, peas, mushroom textures, fig and air dried ham dish as a main course we will donate £1 to the charity fishermansmission.org.uk The fully donated amount will be presented to them at the end of this Seasons menu in January.
We are really thrilled that our knowledge and passion for seafood has been recognised by
Lux magazine who recently awarded us with
‘Best Seafood restaurant in Norfolk’
a huge achievement in our first year and thank all our team and suppliers for helping us achieve such a prestigious award.
Whilst supporting our local independent shops here on the Quay and along Staithe street remember to pop in and take a look at our Christmas puddings, gingerbread houses and Christmas biscuits to take home they are great as gifts or just to relieve a little Christmas stress for yourself these can be found in the restaurant and in ‘Shop with a View’ a couple of doors down from us on the quay.
It really Tis the season to be jolly….
