New season, new dishes…

It seemed a long Winter this year with weather conditions bringing us snow that some of us may not have ever experienced but with the snow and the Beast from the East well behind us now we are all ready for a great summer.

We now have to say farewell to this seasons menu but with lighter evenings, warmer days,
some temperatures almost tropical recently,
we can get excited about a new set of local, seasonal delights.

First to arrive on our menu is of course the local Wells next the sea crabs followed quite quickly by the arrival of asparagus, jersey royal potatoes, samphire and of course the delicious strawberries just on the horizon.

The chefs have real excitement as new flavours and ingredients become available and although they are sad to say goodbye to mussels and skrei cod we know how important it is to use the best local, sustainable and traceable ingredients they can.

A new menu brings a new selection of wines and we are super excited to now be offering some new wines from Flint vineyards from the Waveney Valley near Bungay. We know that both the Bacchus and Pinot Noir will be the perfect match to this new season menu come and give them a try.

We are also looking forward to introducing some wonderful, local, cold pressed organic juices too, Norfolk juicery is from the heart of Kings Lynn with a strong passion for a great fresh alternative drink to some of the sugary alternatives.
Juiced daily and bottled straight from the press they are an excellent organic juice with superb nutrient potential, made with fresh fruit and vegetables that’s it! Can be enjoyed simply like that or in one of our bespoke cocktails

If it’s in season it’s fresh!

So as Will Smith sings….
drums please ….
summer summer summertime

See you soon
